Faculty, staff, or student may checkout

On Monday, July 30 all free print money will be removed from student’s ID cards.  This means that after about 8:00 a.m. the only printing available to students will be through Seahawk Buck$, added to or already on their cards.  Students may use the Value Transfer Station near Circulation/Customer Services to add $$$ to their cards or do so online uncwonecard.blackboard.com but that requires a minimum deposit of $20.00.

Important points:

*Fall semester free print $$$ will be available on August 13 –amount is still $8.00

*Free print money can be used for color or B & W!!!!

*Student color copies are deducted at .40 cents; B & W at .8 cents per print.

*Color printing available on August 1 on all iPrint pick-up stations except the guest one (it will be available there        soon  after)

*Guest printing costs are .15 cents for B & W; color will cost .50 cents when made available.

Access to iPrint for faculty

If a faculty member wishes to use iPrint, they must be manually added to the database.  To do that, first call Bill (x2105) or Ann Greene (x3697).  If they are in, they can add the name and it is enabled immediately.  If they are not in, send an email to iprint@uncw.edu

Guest printing issue

Guest is having trouble printing and it appears that the keyboard is not responding; here is a method to try and resolve it:

1.       Turn off release station computer

2.       You’ll see that the “swipe” reader and keyboard are joined on the same cord.

3.       Remove cord and only plug in keyboard to CPU socket.

4.       Boot CPU and let it go through set up motions.

5.       When finished, turn off CPU again.

6.       Reattach “swipe” reader and keyboard to same cord and install into socket.

7.       Boot CPU.

8.       This should take care of problems.

9.        If not, contact iPrint, x3697

Emeritus Faculty

Retired faculty are not automatically added to the library's database since they are not included in our Banner patron feeds.  In order to get a retired faculty member registered in the library's database they must be manually added and that happens at the Customer Services/Circulation desk.  Any full time staff member can register a new patron and that person's UNCW OneCard has an  ID number that starts with "79" which is used as a part of the registration process.
